Wat een leuk idee een site over Depok, ik heet Francisca Bacas en ben een dochter van Frans Bacas (Oom Pang) en Saartje Bacas.

Dear brother in Holland,

Yayasan Lembaga Cornelis Chastelein (YLCC) or Conelis Chastelein Foundation has celebrate their Christmas and New Year 2006 at Monday 9 January 2006.

The attendance was 500 people consist of Grand Mothers and Grand Fathers, adults, youth and children. God preachs was given by Mrs Aneke Leander, she is an evangelis born in Depok and now she serve God in Malang City, East Java. more than 5 choirs, 1 band and 2 children attraction participate in this celebration. There are door prize for 30 persons and also 125 Christmas gift / packets was given to the Old people of Depok and to the sick people. These gifts came from the funds of Reunie of Tjang Lia Loen in Holland.

Thanks to the Loen’s families from Tjang Lia in holland. Rene en Grace Loen, Eusye en Han Veermey came from Holland to join this celebration and they pick some foto’s and videos along the celebration. If you want the foto’s document please contact them, they live in Vianen Holland.

The celebration take place at the Graha
Immanuel auditorium.

I am Boy Loen one of the grand grand son of Tjang Lia Loen, I stay at Depok, I am now is the Chairman of the Assembly of Lembaga Cornelis Chastelein.

I want to inform you that Depok city will celebrate Christmas 2005 at GBI Kamboja Chruch, this is the biggest church in Depok located at Jl.Kamboja Depok lama near the Christian cemetry and foetball veld of Depok. De Depokers who ever been come to Depok know this place. This church can be filled by 2.000 audiences, and the Christmas celebration will be held on 6 January 2006. De Depokers will participate by flute orchestra , the flute is made from bamboe (bamboo) so this orchestra is called in Bahasa Indonesia Orkes Seruling Bambu, beside that de Depokers will participate by Choir, the choir are from 50 person all of them are youth of Depok.
The Cahirman of the Chrstmas Celebration is Rev. Carlo Leander, MA, he is a Depokkers and was the chairman of! LCC (formerly) for period 1990-1995.
The other Christmas celebration is specially for de Depokers (LCC members) will be held on 15 January 2006 and I will report to you after the celebration.

This website is indeed interesting. I can learn about the history of The Loen Clan. I have posted some correction though on my family’s detail to the webmaster thru Wout Loen with the hope that correction can be made promptly. My love to all from Indonesia.
